Ozuruigbo as fondly called by his admirers, while addressing the mammoth crowd charged them to work in synergy to deliver His Excellency Dist Sen Hope Uzodinma, CON, GSSRS, the Executive Governor of Imo State come 11th November 2023. The Honourable Member, described Dist Sen Hope Uzodinma as the best Governor Imo State has ever produced since it's creation. He added that, the GOVERNOR has touched every aspect of the economy using his wealth of experience and capacity. He pointed out that before the coming of Governor Uzodinma, major roads in the three Senatorial zones were in very bad state. That as he speaks, the governor has given the best of the Roads network to the people of Orlu zone, Okigwe zone and the best is also ongoing in Owerri Zone. Empowerment wise, the Governor has empowered more youths in ICT sector, Agriculture, and other sectors, through his achievements in the Medical Sector, infants mortality has been reduced to the bearest minimum, Imo State has regained her position in Education, Imo State University that couldn't graduate her Medical students due to lack of accreditation has since bounced back. For the first time in Imo State, a Governor sponsored more than 300 IMOLITES to the Holy land, Israel.
Hon. Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, insisted that the best thing that will happen to IMOLITES is the reelection of Dist Sen Hope Uzodinma, CON, GSSSRS as the Governor of Imo State, to continue and finish the good things he has initiated in the State. He assured Imo Progressives Movement members, that he will use his capacity and reach to finance the delivery of 1,500,000 (One million, Five hundred thousand) votes to the Governor. He therefore, encouraged members of the team to go home and commence Mobilization of rural populace for the launching of Imo Progressives Movement that is coming up very soon.
Hon. Williams Ejiakor, the Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, appreciated Hon Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu, the Convener/National Facilitator for showing capacity, competence and political prowess. He assured Ozuruigbo that Imo Progressives Movement management will not sleep nor relent until they deliver the performing Governor of Imo State Dist Senator Hope Uzodinma come 11th November 2023. He pointed out that IPM is a movement that cuts across party lines, traders, the clergy, civil and non politicians. "The whole essence is to mobilize like minds who are not APC members to join hands with those in APC to deliver the Governor seamlessly". *According to him, "if we mobilize only APC members, it will amount to talking to already converted"* For instance, the DG of IPM - Comrade Jeff Nwoha is of AA, the Director of Market Affairs - Comrade Emma Ukachukwu is of LP, the Director of New Media - Comrade Frank Nwaete is of PDP, Director of Media and Publicity - Collins Opurozor and the Organizing Secretary - Comrade GOC Nwadike just joined APC.
Adding his voice, the Director General of Imo Progressives Movement, Comrade Jeff Nwoha, thanked Hon Eugene Okechukwu Dibiagwu for finding them Worthy to pilot the affairs of Imo Progressives Movement (IPM). Comrade Jeff, maintained that Imo Progressives Movement is the largest and the biggest support group of Dist Senator Hope Uzodinma (CON) because it cut across parties in the State. Hon Jeff Nwoha thanked Hon Eugene Dibiagwu that used his excess capacity and reach to reconnect PDP, AA, APGA, LP party Members to the sole purpose of delivering our performing Governor by 11th November 2023. He relatively said that they will do the needful by Mobilizing and ensuring that the Governor is reelected. He charged Members and reminded them that every mmember shall present his or her booth result, ward results and Local government results that must be in favor of the Governor.
The event got to the climax with the State woman leader - Dr Mrs Clara Njoku (Igolo) giving her vote of thanks. She promised to go down to the grassroots to ensure majority of the women are involved in the Imo Progressives Movement to ensure massive votes for Dist Senator Hope Uzodinma come 11th November 2023.
Those inaugurated includes - Three persons (Main Coordinator, Women and Youths) per ward, ie 305 (wards) by 3, Three persons per Local government, Three persons per Federal Constituency, and Three persons per Zone and 24 State officers.
*Worthy of note is that members of IPM are those that have their PVCs as that is the only prerequisite to join the Movement.*
